10th of May, International Day of Human Rights

24/09/2004

The Jordan Misja teachers and pupils organized three locally televised seminars on human rights. Then there were a series of meetings and discussions with the Shkodra judges in the courthouse. On the 10th of May the pupils then handed out materials on human rights in the center of the town, and flew kites of peace. National TV news covered this event as well.

Educational-entertaining evening with the theme The role of literature in development of pupils’ personalities was held in the end of May in the “Jordan Misja” school. It was a literature contest aiming at educating the school community through creative pupil writing on issues of tolerance, understanding and peace. For the talented pupils, the project organized a small party to celebrate their creativity and foster community building.
