"Enough to this reality" art show

30/04/2002

High school youth leaders in Gramsh staged the show "Enough to This Reality" in the beginning of April. This is a show totally organized by 30 youth leaders from the high school in Gramsh. They wanted to organize such a show for the whole community, and we were happy to support them in this initiative.

The show used dance, living sculptures-which our project trained them in-recitals to discuss about major social problems such as drugs, prostitution, trafficking, corruption. The show ended up with a positive note on how empowered youth can work against such issues.

The 30 pupils organized the whole show themselves. They were directors, stenographers, authors, and actors. 400 other pupils and community members came to watch them in the Palace of Culture auditorium.

After one year, we can see traces of our project everywhere. The palace of culture and the Children's Center are using sound systems, microphones, keyboards, etc, that were infrastructure investments by our project. The quality of the performances has been enhanced because of such infrastructure improvements.
