Activities in Tirana

Some of the main activities and successes we have had in Tirana encourage us to continue our work and make more efforts to spread peace education aid all over Albania. Here are our main successes related to Tirana:

• Publishing the national peace education manual has been a big collective endeavor, and shows the dedication of all the relevant partners—teachers, educators, NGOs—in our project.
• Forging a strategic partnership with the Institute for Pedagogical Studies to create a cross and extracurricular teacher’s guide posits our project in a more strategic position to influence national curricula and training.
• The directorate of Tirana will use our manuals to train the newly hired teachers.
• More visibility in the national and local media.

Trained teachers and youth leaders are organizing small peace education activities of their own in the schools in Gramsh and Shkodra.
